Brief information about Murchison falls national park - Uganda has ten National Parks. Murchison falls national park ranks the biggest park in Uganda, with varst of wildlife ranging from herds of elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffalos, waterbuck, bush buck and hogs, to mention but a few. This park is known for the big four animals and these are the Elephants, Lions, Buffaloes, and Leopards. However, along the way to Murchison you can visit the Rhino santuary to complete the Big5. Featuring big game like elephants, hippos, buffaloes, rhinos, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras and the wild cats (lions, leopards, cheetahs) plus a variety of other small animals. Murchison falls National Park lies at the Northern end of the Albertine rift. The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile for 100m as it flows west from the Karuma falls to the Albert Nile. There are also varieties of other wildlife including giraffes, antelopes, crocodiles plus varieties of birds and you will be awed by the world’s strongest falls- the Murchison Falls on the Great River Nile before returning to Entebbe/Kampala. Cruise to the bottom of the falls: This activity takes place on the Albert Nile. The Paara launch trip helps to view the spectacle Murchison falls. While on the launch cruise activity one is able to see a lot of animals such as the Crocodiles, Hippos, Elephants, Lions, Hartebeest, Buffaloes, Giraffes and the Monitor Lizard. The most dramatic view of the water falls is found at the top of the falls where the sight and sound of the waters of the Nile squeeze it’s self through a 5meter gorge. Most people say that at the top of the falls it is always raining throughout he year and this is because of the water which the falls pump from the bottom of he falls to the top and the nearby areas. The activity takes 3 hours, this offers an excellent view from the boat. Watch the Nile squeeze into the narrow escarpment to form the Murchison falls. Ardent bird watchers can spot raptors and swallows at this spot. Visit the Top of the falls for a spectacular opportunity to view the Murchison falls, complete with a rainbow scene.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Pick up from hotel address in Kampala / Hotel address in Entebbe - Drive to Murchison falls park, Via Rhino Sanctuary at ziwa. On this day, our company guide will meet you at your hotel/ address, then drive your to the world’s most powerful waterfall. Along the way, visit the Rhino Sanctuary You will enjoy hot lunch during this short break. Later Porceed to Murchison falls national park and rest at the booked lodge. Have dinner and an overnight stay at the booked lodge, Category: (Paraa Safari Lodge - Luxury option), (Pakuba Safari Lodge - Midrange option), (Red Chill Rest Camp - Budget option).

Day 2: Game viewing and boat cruise. On this day, take pleasure in a morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile and experience a great deal of wildlife and birds. Along the way, look out for herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, the Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species. Later on in the day after lunch, embark on a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. This 3 hour cruise from Paraa is a rewarding trip that will expose you to many various wildlife species like hippos, crocodiles, elephants (though quite occasional along this side) and a variety of the bird life that may include the African fish eagles. You will then return to the lodge for wonderful dinner and peaceful overnight at the booked lodge..

Day 3: After a healthy breakfast, prepare return back to Kampala. Along the journey, you will enjoy warm lunch break. Proceed to Kampala / Entebbe airport. drop off back to your hotel address. OR Connect with your International home flight at Entebbe International airport.
